With 15+ years of experience at leading law firms in the United States and Canada, in his own private practice and through key in-house counsel roles in the media industry, including acting as General Counsel for an international image licensing agency (Masterfile) and as Legal Counsel for the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN), Dan Pollack has developed a deep understanding of the complex legal issues that confront creatives.  

Dan often works with creators such as photographers, filmmakers, musicians and writers to help them protect and gain value from their work. In particular, he has extensive experience working with photographers (and their representatives) and stock image agencies with copyright enforcement and protection, contracts, licensing agreements and releases.

Dan also regularly advises his clients on legal issues relating to marketing, licensing, social media, contracts, litigation, privacy and general corporate law.

In 2018, he joined the firm Dipchand LLP (https://dipchand.com/) where he is continuing his practice in IP, New Media and Entertainment Law.
